image I hired Chloe's Cleaning Company this week, after A: having a subpar experience with a former cleaning company last year, and B: reading many positive reviews for Chloe's online.
They scheduled my Deep Clean appointment quickly and efficiently over the phone; fit me in two days later, and provided a helpful list of all cleaning tasks for each type of service so clients know what to expect beforehand. I didn't do a walk-through for every item on the Deep Clean checklist before the team who cleaned my house left, because I was short on time. They did ask if they missed anything, though. I would have also felt bad in the event of a "you missed a spot" situation, so I thanked them for their time and said everything was ok.
When I was able to, I looked a bit further and noticed a few spots that were missed (though they were listed under the Deep Clean services) -- however, it is a luxury to afford a cleaning service and I am grateful that they did a good job despite a few obvious places that should have been wiped. The company said they would call to follow up after the service to ensure everything was okay, which they did. I spoke with Claire, and mentioned the spots they missed, solely for the purpose of transparent feedback. I did not expect anything in return, but had read this was a woman-owned business, and I wanted to support her with constructive feedback.
Claire was very understanding and genuine in her response, not dismissive, defensive, or argumentative. She didn't make me feel nitpick-y. She also didn't have to say much to demonstrate that she is an honest and empathetic business owner/individual who invests a lot of integrity into her hiring process and business operation.
I would rate this first cleaning service 4/5 stars, with 10/5 for client care. I plan to continue working with Claire because she led with her heart/intuition in terms of a resolution. This might not make sense to everyone who is reading this, but fellow entrepreneurs + small business owners will likely understand.
I consider myself the same type of business owner as Claire; every client interaction is unique, and if my gut tells me that I need to color outside the lines in terms of a "remarkable" resolution, I'll do that - even if it doesn't fully align with the bottom line / $$$ of the business. (Especially when you may be dealing with a customer who is sniffing around to get something for nothing, which sucks for business owners who work hard to sustain a business.)
Anyways - some might say that this isn't a business-savvy strategy; I disagree. Claire's resolution reflected "surprise and delight" marketing in a way. She went above and beyond to deliver a positive experience through a selfless act of kindness. She assured me that my next appointment will address my requests, and I trust her.
I am writing this review with the hopes that her kindness is returned to her 3x.

image For the most part they did good. But for a deep cleaning I was expecting a lot more. As I looked around I discovered that the ceiling fans werent dusted, the couch ottoman wasnt moved to be swept under in the living room. The kitchen portable island was moved to be cleaned under. Counters in bathrooms werent cleaned off. Dirt and dust was in the corner of rooms. When they were finished we asked why they didnt go over certain areas (the Ceiling ledge and fans) they said they were hard to get to. But I have to say we have normal height ceilings. And thats specifically included in the deep clean. Everything else looks great and they did a great job otherwise. Was disappointed for the price we paid for a deep cleaning vs the results. Customer service was wonderful and they did offer to have them come back, but we cleaned the missed areas already. Dont think Id use this service again
