Just took a tour with a staff member. He was very friendly and knowledgeable about the property. The community areas and bathrooms are kept neat and clean. There are several different activities to do within the building such as going to the gym, watching movies, and playing games!

I post this after being an internal staff member and student my experience was that management lied from the moment i walked in the door. From selling apartments to promising a safe environment, I could see that the company had major difficulty running this as student-specific housing (which requires more robust security than regular apartments). The shooting there a few weeks ago proved that there were no policies in place to keep residents safe. The Regency expects young adults, their Resident Assistants, to contact police in the event of an emergency, and when I called (I was an RA) it took the police 45 minutes to get to me. The no animal policy, no smoking pot, and underage drinking policy is not enforced. Even though it is cheaper than other housing, the main towers are very old and I renovated, and definitely one of the most unsafe places to live for students. If someone breaks into your car, it's on you to call the police because the Regency will not give you a copy of the tapes of who hit you without an order from the cops, which is rare that will even happen. To David Kandell, Assistant General Manager who's a grown man that has lived in student housing for 13 years, I hope when you get fired you think back to what a poor job you have done at the Regency, all of the people you screwed over, including myself, who gave you 20 plus hours a week of our personal time when you hired us at 12 hours a week; I hope you think of the students and angry parents who call day after day with no returned phone calls, because you have done nothing to provide for the students or parents that have trusted you to provide them a safe place to live. Parents, you will not receive your deposit of $1000 or $2500 back, and you can be sure that your student will not find parking at least several days out of the month because of the massive Craigslist parties that are thrown that are not regulated. The other housing communities such as the Auraria Lofts and Campus Village are more expensive, but your kid is safer and you will not have to deal with lying scumbags who toss you to the curb the moment they get your signature on a lease. Salazar owner needs to stop hiring out cheap help and get this business together.
