Great Fortune Design - Denver

I am starting the third planting season of a super-duper partnership with Great Fortune Design. Our collaboration began in June 2021 as I sought ways to honor my late spouse of 25 years. I found the GFD website and discovered the section for Grief Gardens. It was easy to Get in Touch and request a consultation. Within 10 days I met with David and then Mary Pat. I was impressed how clearly David and Mary Pat saw my vision as I described the types of plants and flowers that I believed represented love and family. We were on the same page from Day One! Within 30 days of our initial meeting the L Garden was built and planted. I started the partnership as a novice and now with the guidance of the GFD Teams, I am a proficient gardener! I have learned a great deal from Sam, a member of the Maintenance Team. She has helped me identify weeds, plants, and proper care. As Planting Season Number 3 begins, we have built and planted 13 additional garden beds around my home. Each space has a unique name and theme and represents love and family. Thank You GFD!

I would only recommend that you use their services for small jobs - if that. They agreed to do a large transplanting and irrigation project for me and problems were addressed as the work progressed; or so I thought. At the end of the project, I paid their fee. The next day, I found that the connections to the irrigation system were still disconnecting and there were other issues whose sources I could not find. They offered to send the same person out that performed the ultimately problematic work with "detailed written instructions," refusing to send someone more experienced and knowledgeable to find the problems and fix things once and for all. Instead, they cut off further communication with me and all future contracts. Others may have had very good experiences with them; they maintained my garden for several years. But, if you have any major problems with them, you're out of luck - especially if you've already paid them. They refused to reimburse me for their ineffective work product and outcome. I had to have another irrigation company come in and redo it right away, or I would have lost even more of the transplanted plants. I challenged their charge with my credit card company. I won this dispute to their charge. They were in the wrong. Services: Irrigation system repair & maintenance, Mulching, Weed control

Fantastic small business for landscaping. We worked with Great Fortune to transition our back garden from lawn to low-water native wildflowers & a mulch pathway through. We now have a bounty of blooming flowers from May to October. The pollinators and birds are thriving. We work with Great Fortune for recurring maintenance services (weeding, tidying, checking the health of the garden), and have been delighted. Our regular gardener for maintenance is always on time, and manages an incredible amount of work while she's here. I highly recommend Great Fortune Design, we have been a customer for 2 years, and will remain one next season as well!
