Booked through AMEX. Its been a great experience so far.
1. Judithe and Alyssa at the front desk are superstars
2. Pet friendly (not on top floor)
3. Room is awesome
4. $100 AMEX credit at Pazzano restaurant goes a long way
5. Theres also a happy hour from 4-6pm
6. Free wine tasting in the lobby at 5pm
7. Free night cap in the lobby later in the evening.
I dont drink but this place is pretty dope as a hotel. The other Kimpton in Austin, TX is really nice too. Glad I booked this place.

While nicely designed, the room was terrible in that it completely lacked noise insulation and therefore made getting a restful night of sleep extremely difficult. We were traveling with our kids and we could hear every word of conversation from the adjoining room. We knew exactly when the people in the adjoining room came back (after midnight). We could see light from underneath the door to the adjoining room and resorted to stuffing pillows there as a noise and light barrier.
In addition, there was a ridiculous slope to the room with a visible incline to the desk and one of the beds (photo attached).
When we called the front desk to voice our concerns, the only alternative offered was a room next to the elevator, which was not a reasonable solution given the lack of noise insulation between the room and hallways (there was a visible gap under and around the door as well).
The staff was overall kind but this was one of the most disappointing stays we have ever had at a Kimpton. We would definitely not return.

Room was extremely noisy. I could hear conversations, TV, and bathroom use in adjacent rooms. Throughout the night, you could hear pipes and other mechanical noises that prevented me from sleeping. Wifi in the room was so slow I ended up disconnecting and getting faster service through my cell provider.
I should have read the other reviews on these matters and chosen another hotel.
Further, hotel charges an additional $27 per night "resort" fee that was not disclosed at time of booking.
This hotel does not match up to the quality of other Kimptons I've stayed in.
