I worked with this group and they are amazing!!! They were able to help low income communities get help upgrading to a more energy efficient system.

5/2/19 Update: I finally was contacted by a supervisor. He apologized and explained what happened. After a conversation, I was approved for LEAP. The new people running LEAP down in Colorado Springs are utterly incompetent. Here's the email I sent them. I doubt they can read anything in any language. "I applied for LEAP via fax on April 1, 2019. On April 15 I received a letter stating they wanted more information. I immediately faxed and mailed the additional information. I've called them every day since then to confirm they had everything they needed. No response. Ever. The person in charge of my case was supposed to make a decision by April 29th. They didn't. I had also called and was told since I am self-employed and an LLC, I didn't need to send receipts. I did send three months of self-employment ledgers and all business expense receipts for March. I finally was told today May 2, that I've been denied LEAP because I didn't submit wage statements. They did not ask for that (I did state earnings) and I do not issue myself wage statements as I don't pay myself a wage. In all, I submitted four months of self-employment income. I'm assuming I could have just made up an official looking wage statement if they had told me that's what they wanted. No one did. I've been told so much conflicting information from the people at LEAP or no contact at all. The LEAP Offices are now closed and I cannot reapply which I could have done if they had just contacted me. They did not contact me. The phones get turned off tomorrow. They say sorry, there's little hope for you to protest and you needed to protest before the deadline. One cannot protest the denial if one does not know before the deadline. I wish to protest the incompetence and stupidity of the people running the LEAP office this year. I'm screwed because of them. I need the LEAP approval. Xcel Energy generously gives me a $57 credit on the condition I'm approved for LEAP annually. Nevermind an actual LEAP payment. This now goes away because of the incompetence of the people at LEAP. Can you please help me and get the LEAP approval. I've never had problems getting LEAP assistance the past few years when it was run by Boulder County Health & Human Services. Thank you for any assistance you can provide. I'd rather be trying to run my one-woman small business and support myself than fighting a state agency."
