Family Star Montessori - Northwest (Main)

Family Star Montessori is a really special place. It is most definitely not a daycare. It's a community school where they focus on not just the child in attendance, but the family as a whole. Sheila, the director, is so compassionate and truly cares about all of the children. Veronica, the family support coordinator, is always reaching out to see if we needed anything. My son's teacher, Miss Sachi, was always available for support and so helpful. My son really thrived at this school and I am so glad he got to attend. We unfortunately had to withdraw because my husband lost his job, but if we have the opportunity and need, we would definitely go back. Thanks to all at Family Star for being such an important part of the community!

Family Star Montessori Northeast School is the best option that you could imagine for your child.  We were so lucky to have our oldest daughter attend FS from 11 months through three years.  The teachers are so loving, attentive, supportive and wonderful.   The school is bilingual.  We still call our daughter's underwear CHONES.  The school is approximately 80% state pay and 20% private pay. This means that your child will be guaranteed a diverse experience unlike the all white private Montessori schools like MAC.  Ms. Maria in Nido and Ms. Graciella, Ms. Janette and Mr. Timothy in IC are the best caretakers that you could want.  The teachers potty train so quickly and efficiently - it's amazing.  We moved out to the West side of Denver and had to change schools.  The level of care at FS became apparent after we moved our daughter into a regular preschool and then into another private Montessori.The skills that your child learns at FS is not duplicated at other schools. FS provides your child with breakfast, lunch and snack all centered around social gathering to eat.  The children set their tables, eat together, clean up together, grow their own food, and learn to be gracious and caring towards each other.  Again, this level of care is beyond amazing.Alisa is a fantastic administrator and goes above and beyond her position at FS to make sure that you are informed about your child and about the school.  Ms. Michelle at the front desk is attentive and caring.  We always felt that our daughter was learning and being supported by the best group of people.If we could have both kids at FS then that would be our choice. However we don't have that option due to a relocation. This school is phenomenal.

We've been on their waiting list for a year and a half and since the beginning, we've gotten inconsistent information about the time it would take us to get a spot. When we out our name down they said about a year. When we called for an update 6 months later they said we were still a year away. Then we called again in February and we were told that we would be first in line this spring most likely, but if not, definitely this summer. We just called again and it turns out that they're booked up until 2020! This is no way to communicate with prospective students. This is disrespectful and extremely disconcerting, as now we find ourselves again left out to dry with no explanation given.

my son currently goes to this school and they have truly been amazing work very personally with each individual family they have truly become family to us thank you family star looking forward to the years to come with you guys !!!!

This place is the best place for kids. If I could I would keep my child there all the way. But they have got my l little girl ready for school and helped me being a singel mom. They helped me with so so much. I will hold a special place in my heart always.
