Storage was broken into. These things happen but how the company handled it was sad and quite mean overall. Lady with the tattoos that manages it told me it wouldnt be a good idea to make a claim, and told me it was my fault. When the police arrived they explained that this storage unit gets broken into 4-10 times a month. Insurance will not cover my belongings because I didnt have photos. :/ win some lose some but avoid this place at all costs!

Habitually raises the rent every several months.
When I began renting my unit it was priced at approximately $60/month and 15 months later it's almost $90/month for a 5x5 unit with no climate control.

When I didnt get satisfaction from customer service, I contacted the property at 680 Sheridan Storage directly. I was fortunate to connect with Andrea who continuously followed up for me until my problem was resolved. Nice speaking to someone who was not robotic and was extremely helpful!

I made my reservation on line for a great deal but when i got there they said i had a left over balance with then from years ago for $77. I could not rent a unit unless i paid. After agreeing to just pay the money to be up to date they then tell me that the unit i reserved on line was no longer available. So i then had to bump up a to get one that was available. $150 more than what i had planned to spend i finally get a unit. I open The unit and it is littered with trash from the previous renter and the locking mechanism was torn to pieces. So i go back to the office and tell them and was then given another unit . Finally i unload my truck and shoot over to Walmart to get a lock and return to the storage. This time i get there and notice they failed to take their padlock off of my unit and now they are closed. With no one here to help me means Now i can't lock my unit until tomorrow smh hopefully it's not ransacked

After paying for the unit and receiving email and text confirmation that my unit was ready, I showed up to unload my truck this morning. The attendant from the front office met me at the unit to unlock it, and after opening the door, I was greeted with the site of a pile of feces (not sure if it was human or animal), as well as a dirty floor. The attendant didnt say anything, but when I pointed to the feces, he said hed go get something to clean it up. No offer of a new unit, no chemicals used it was completely disgusting. If I hadnt had a truck to return and a flight to catch this afternoon, I would have had the time to sit around and wait for a new unit. But when I receive a confirmation that my unit is ready for move in, I think its safe to assume that its been cleaned and checked for health and safety violations.
I feel sick having to leave my belongings in a small unit that had faces in it for god knows how long the only thing the attendant had to say for this is something to the effect of haha yeah we have some lazy employees.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE. Because Im so horrified by the situation, I will be booking a flight back next month to move my stuff from this disgusting place. I wish I had the time and resources to do it today. I have tried calling customer service and starting a chat in the website with no luck, but I will be filing a formal complaint regarding the situation.
