Great atmosphere. Boring overpriced food.

We tried out this place on Friday. We ordered the tropic cancer and Dakota painkiller cocktails...look good on paper but they were not good and didn't taste as described. Drinks were not well balanced. For appetizers we ordered, the papaya salad, crispy prawns (really good) and beef in betel leaves they were decent. For entrees we ordered the curry vermicelli, beef cheek, rock fish and duck confit noodle dishes..The curry vermecelli dish is super creamy and didn't taste bad but the noodles were overcooked. It was thick like curry but just with noodles. I think the chefs idea was to make the authentic or similar style of the dish called khaopoon. The duck confit broth was not appetizing...the beef cheek dish with udon noodle's flavor was like the duck confit dish but gravy style. Honestly, if everything tasted like how the crispy saigon prawns flavor was then this restaurant would of been better. Ambiance and vibe of the restaurant was good but the food and drinks weren't to our liking. First time trying and wouldn't go back. We are asian so I guess my advice for the restaurant would be to really understand asian flavors more if you're fusioning with asian cusine. This restaurant gave us Vietnamese/Thai food. Honestly, would be a disappointment to us and the name noodles. Tasted reckless.

We decided to try this place for a friends birthday. Great staff, very friendly and accommodating, The restaurant had a relaxing atmosphere and was very cozy and inviting. The food was unique, very tasty, and reasonably priced.
