Visiting Angels

My parents have worked with Visiting Angels for several years. As their needs have evolved, Visiting Angels has been a partner in finding the right caregiver for their needs. The staff at the office is thoughtful about setting up great matches between client and caregiver. One of the caregivers has really become a member of our family--always willing to be in touch to keep us children updated on what is happening at home. It has given us great peace of mind and has allowed my parents to continue to live life in the way they want.

I am grateful for companies such as Visiting Angels that offer live in care as a model and an option. Im am the owner/operator of a small registry that no longer offers live in care as an option. My 96 year old Mother, who had needed minimal care, took a sudden down turn that landed her in the hospital. All of a sudden I was faced with finding Live-In care. From the moment I called, Visiting Angels gave me invaluable assistance and reassurance! The Client Services Coordinator was responsive, kind and knowledgeable of the factors I was coping with. She did not over promise, but in the end was able to find someone on very short notice. It was a stressful time for me and I am so grateful to Visiting Angels for their quick response time, their expertise and - most of all - for their kindness and understanding.

Visiting Angels provided home care staffing for my parents for 3 years. Starting with caregivers a few hours per day for meal prep, grocery shopping and laundry, and gradually increasing to live-in care, Visiting Angels provided home care services to meet all of my parents' requirements, which enabled my parents to remain in their home. Visiting Angels office personnel were very responsive to feedback and excelled at finding caregivers to match my parents' changing needs. We had amazing caregivers who became part of our family throughout very challenging medical and end of life situations. Based on personal experience, I can highly recommend Visiting Angels without hesitation.

Ma-Rita is amazing She is the woman behind scheduling aides to help your loved one. My mom had a sudden unset of dementia. After 2 days in Danbury Hospital she was transferred to St Pope John Paul for rehab with hopes of placing into memory care unit. We realized day 1 that PJP was short staffed & was not providing the care my mom needed. The VNA recommended Visiting Angels in Brookfield. They were understanding & compassionate. They moved heaven & earth to arrange around the clock aides to be at her bedside. My mom was scared & they helped to calm her & provide loving care. After 1 week mom got COVID & was put in isolation alone in a room & still they found the 2 most amazing people who would stay with her. Ruth all night & Fanny most hrs during the day. These ladies r truly Angels. If for some reason the aide could not make the shift Ma-Rita immediately found a replacement! Ruth saved my moms life 2xs. While in isolation at the end of the hall with door kept closed, my mom heating unit began to smoke & spark filling the room quickly NO SMOKE detectors went off thank God Ruth was with her and ran to alert staff to call Fire department. 1 week later Ruth arrived at 11pm to find my mom in a different room with all lights off and heat turned OFF, the outside temp was -0. Mom had 2 layers of clothes & 3 blankets on & room was freezing. She immediately called me & we pulled mom out that night & brought her home. Ruth would call & stop by to visit & sing to her. I could go on forever but TRUST me Visiting Angels of Brookfield is amazing all the admin staff & aides should be commended. Ma-Rita even showed up at my moms wake I will forever be in the debt.
