Holiday Inn Express & Suites Meriden, an IHG Hotel

Not sure why there are a few negatives. My experience is wonderful. I didn't book this hotel from my usual website, so I can't review it from there. But I want to share my positive experiences in google. The staff is nice. The room is clean and spacious. Breakfast is excellent. This is the first time I used the pancake machine. Much faster than the usual waffle machines that everyone uses.

Definitely the best hotel for the price in the area. Staff was very pleasant and hard working. Place was clean, and the breakfast spread is fantastic! If youre on vacation with the family or just looking for a small getaway from regular life this is the spot.

Bed wasn't super comfortable. A little too firm for me. Clean and nice.

Unfortunately my trip was cancelled due to circumstances out of my control (mother nature does it's own thing) 1 day prior to my visit. I went through the Holiday Inn itself and through my booking agent and they were unwilling to work with me as far as a refund or even rescheduling a date further in the future to try and accommodate mother nature. If you book a reservation with them (or through an agent) make sure to get insurance as they don't seem to be willing to work with you at all. Unfortunate as I was looking forward to the trip. Will not be booking here in the future though I'm sure 1 person isn't much of a loss to them.
