A beautiful hike. There are great views from the top of the stone structure at the summit. It may be icy/snowy at higher elevations, so I'd encourage you to bring spikes if you're hiking in the colder months.

Riga mountain state park is on the Massachusetts / Connecticut line also very close to New York. Thier is a beautiful but remote ravine called Sage Ravine that is a wonderful hike using the Appalachian Train in part Dog-friendliness: Dog must be on leash
