Be careful of what is shown on third party sites from the management vs what you are told by the leasing office. A 2 bed/2 bath was listed as $1635 by management just to hear from the leasing office its actually $2200+. Kind of ridiculous in my opinion because I would love to see how they follow the market if it crashes.

$2,495 for a 3 bedroom apartment in Middletown, DE following the market? What a robbery. Small family with dual income here & we will be refusing to entertain this place due to the outrageous rent price. We can go a little further south, buy a townhome, & get a mortgage rate cheaper than that..

SUPER LONG BUT WORTH IT. We stayed here for 2 years. We fell in love when we first saw the place. The model apartment was absolutely gorgeous. The price for us NY/North Jersey people was a steal. It was $1530 for a 2-bedroom apartment for me, my wife, and my toddler son. When we moved in, the apartment was kind of reversed from the model apartment, which was fine. But we went out on the balcony, and at the time, the grass in the back wasn't fully grown and looked patchy and stayed like that for almost 2 years... not the best view. Also, we had a bug problem, and when I say bug, I mean roaches. After 3 months, they went away after I bombed the apartment myself. The pest control person couldn't get rid of it. I don't think it was a Westown issue but a last resident issue. Anyways, we quickly realized we could hear every single movement made from the people above us. We thought they were just loud and heavy-footed neighbors, but it was just the place itself. The neighbors below us started banging on the ceiling every time my 2-year-old made movements in his room. When I banged back, they stopped. Every time someone would close the door, it would slam if they didn't hold it. The stairwell was a wind tunnel, and it pulls the door closed. Also, you can hear any time someone walks up and down the stairs, walls, floors, ceilings were paper-thin. The fire alarms were super sensitive and super loud, to which my son was traumatized by it, and 3 years later still panics and covers his ears when he hears loud sounds. The gym there is great, no complaints. The clubhouse is great, but I do think they could have stayed open a little later, especially on the weekends. Also, we were told they would have printers like the reserves across the way; they didn't, and we gave our printer away for nothing. The pool was great-looking the first year, even though it opened late. It was supposed to open Memorial Day weekend and didn't open until July, I believe. (We were told to go to Reserve at South Ridge until it was open.) But even when it opened, it was a flip of a coin if they were going to have a lifeguard. This happened also a lot the following year where it was closed, and we couldn't go to the other pool at the South Ridge, nor were we reimbursed. It was super annoying when almost any time we had a guest over for the first time, we would tell them to bring trunks, only to find out the pool was closed on a Saturday afternoon when the weather was in the high 80s. The actual office. Haley was absolutely the best and the most helpful person there. She needs a raise, and I would say promote her, but the office manager was pretty good. The maintenance dude was cool, the tall guy. When we left, there was a front desk lady, Sarah. She was rude af and didn't know how to talk to people. She should be doing customer service. Moving along, neighbors were great for the most part. So year one, we were paying $1530 for the first year. They then went up the second year to $1610, which we were like, that's a big jump but manageable. But approaching year 3, they said they increased to $1765, and that's when we knew it's time to go. That's a $235 increase, which equates to a 15.29% increase, which is unheard of. I don't even know if that's even illegal. But that same apartment (which we only moved from 10 months ago) is now over 2000k. Whatever those 3rd party websites say, like $1695, is a lie. If you can afford those higher prices, kudos, but if hearing noises outside your apartment would bother you, I would suggest going somewhere else. That's the biggest issue besides the pool. All other issues you can make work.
