My experience at the Middletown office was not a pleasant experience. I will not under any circumstances be returning to that office. Although I was new to the Middletown office, Ive been a patient with Hearing Services for many years. I have two hearing aids purchased in the Vineland NJ office formerly Hearing Life. I have to say the audiologist (Donna) and staff in the Vineland office was professional and pleasant to me and my family over the years. This contributed to me continuing as a patient with Hearing Services once I moved to Delaware. I took my hearing aids to the Middletown office for routine service/cleaning (upon their request). The audiologist Olivia was not very pleasant or attentive to my needs as a patient. Olivia took my hearing aids to another room to clean them. Upon her returning my hearing aids to me I explained to Olivia that I couldnt hear and that something was wrong with the hearing aids. She acted as if what I was saying was incomprehensible as I continued to explain in every way possible that my hearing aid wasnt functioning properly. After some back and forth and working on the settings, she then tried to convince me there was something wrong with my ears. She wanted me to go home and get rest and bring the hearing aids back another day. I was really frustrated and disappointed because my audiologist sent me home with hearing aids that did not work. Hearing aids that were working before I stepped in that office that morning. While I sat in my car in the parking lot of Hearing Services frustrated and trying to get myself together I decided to work on the hearing aids. I discovered that somehow while Olivia was cleaning my hearing aids she pushed wax down into the tube causing blockage. What infuriates me even more is that I called back to the office and explained how disappointed and dissatisfied I was with the service. I received a call the same day from the manager Sean Mitchell who basically tried to justify Olivias actions by telling me how many years of experience she had. I explained to him with her years of experience I dont understand how she didnt check for wax blockage. I also didnt understand her judgment of sending a customer home with a hearing aid that didnt work. I dont feel comfortable or welcomed in the Middletown office as I dont trust the decision making and professionalism. Because of the great service I received in the Vineland office I will try to continue getting my hearing aids serviced at a different office at this time.
