Cute store with just about every toy (lots of sections labeled for varying age groups). There is a baby section all the way up to toys, games and books that are appropriate for teens. Found a gift for a newborn, a toy that is perfect for my one-year-old granddaughter and a game and book for a 15 year-old. Since the store is literally one block from the beach, it's a great place to buy the kind of beach toys that I like (you know--the kind that won't break after one use!!). Their selection of shovels, pails, floating boats and other toys for the beach is extensive. Really like the variety and the brands that use safe materials. This is a store that I will keep going back to!

Nice little game store within walking distance of where we stay in June. I bought a couple games-Loot and Skull King here. I enjoy stopping in when in OC.

We're very glad we found this toy store -- it sells actual TOYS that will keep kids engaged longer than 5 minutes. Most "toy" departments and stores are full of nothing but stuffed or plastic figurines based on TV shows, video games, and movies. These are "Collectibles," and mostly they end up collecting dust. But Tidepool Toys has crafts and activity books, gyroscopes and rubicks cubes, project kits, and fun hands-on puzzles and toys. My granddaughters found a book of reusable stickers to design changable outfits on sturdy cardboard dolls (think colorforms) and a craft kit using beads to create designs. They played with these through a drizzly afternoon and will get more use out of them in the days to come. And the prices were surprisingly low --  I expected to pay much more at a boutique type toy store here in a resort. The woman working at the store was very friendly and patient with the kids, who of course wanted to touch everything. We will definitely be back on future trips to the shore.
