Genna's Construction

Genna did our kitchen (IKEA) and we are extremely happy with the results. The estimate was close to the final cost. He was responsive, did quality work with his crew and brings a lot of experience to the job. Genna takes pride in his work and is very detail oriented. He was open to our wishes but also made valid suggestions that we appreciated. He did flooring, drywall, painting, trim work, lighting, a cool stretch ceiling with recessed LED lights in addition to the kitchen installation. We highly recommend him and will hire him again if the need arises.

Genna's construction worked with us to complete a remodel of our bathroom. They were very thorough with the details and did an excellent job with the craftsmanship. We will definitely call them in the future for our home improvement projects.

I couldn't recommend Genna's Construction more highly.   I had never done any kind of renovation before, and was lucky enough to find Genna's Construction for my new two bedroom condo.  When I bought the place it was frozen in the 80s.  Thanks to Gena, it's now almost completely new and beautiful and I'll be having him back to renovate my guest bedroom as soon as possible!Gena is a great problem solver - I had a popcorn ceiling I wanted to get rid of a overhead lighting I wanted to install, which was tricky because the ceilings are cement.  Gena proposed a drop ceiling which in a million years I wouldn't have thought of.   With the ceiling he was able to create wiring for recessed lights a fans and I don't even notice they are slightly lower than before.  I completely renovated my kitchen which included removing a wall, and Gena took my request even further by figuring out how to move a vent (cabinets are now to the ceiling) and creating a significant amount of extra floor space.  The biggest challenge was getting the washer/dryer out of the kitchen, which several other contractors had said wasn't possible, but Gena quickly saw the possibilities in a closet next to my master bath and worked with permitting and plumbing and electrical to make it happen.One last great idea Gena had was another thing that didn't occur to me - the master closet didn't have an entrance from the bedroom, so Gena cut a a new door, and put an additional storage closet in the previous opening from the master hallway to the closet.  It's that kind of eye for detail that I came to appreciate so much, in addition to all of Gena's other expertise.I have to mention Olga as well - the office manager.  Olga handled all the details of ordering the appliances I wanted, researching and suggesting substitutions when my first choice wasn't available, and even meeting me to look for bathroom tile when the tile I originally wanted was on back order for ten weeks.  Most of all, Olga dealt with all the complications of the DC permitting processes.  I would have had no idea how to navigate it all, so having her handle it so well was a great gift.All in all, Genna's Construction is a great family business.  I'm so happy with my home and look forward to working with them again.
