Thank you for the review, however, we do wish to be transparent with our Google Community regarding your comments.We do apologize for any lack of communication in housekeeping or room service, as we have never provided room service and regarding housekeeping, as explained at check-in, reservations that are 6 nights or less receive no daily housekeeping. This has been in place for well over four years on property and is notated on all booking platforms. As always, if you require any items, please ring the front desk and we will gladly bring them up to your unit or do ask about our additional housekeeping options on pricing. Regarding our front desk, we do regret hear of any challenges with our team as we take these issues very seriously and will follow up accordingly. We thank you again for your feedback. image TLDR: Absolutely my worst hotel experience ever, will never stay at any AKA property in the future (even if I need to travel an extra mile).
Bad service in terms of:
1. Uneven quality of service: I requested two bottles of water on day one, delivered to room; requested again the other day and got rejected because we dont do that service, you need to come downstairs yourself, and rejected to offer a third bottle because two bottles per room upon request only, while making a note of the room number; requested water again on the third day, didnt ask for room number and provided water.
2. Unprofessionalism: the staff rang my room bell because they left a radio in a room (this shows up in their google translate app on the phone). After I asked for the size and look of the radio and offered to look for it in my room, the staff rejected and said its fine then left. I never see anything radio-like either in my room.
3. Not responsive/even trying to solve problems: I used the hotel dry clean service but my silk blouse came back damaged with white streaks on. The front desk was not able to get in contact with the dry cleaner immediately and waited for management to respond. When management finally responded, they asked me to contact the dry cleaner directly, leaving themselves out of the conversation. Staff attitude changes after seeing my companys name after pulling up my information as well.
A hotel with this level of service is definitely not worth $300 a night. I paid the price for a convenient stay during my business trip, without expecting to solve the problems caused by the hotel (unable to provide room service per requested, staff [claim to be] leaving stuff behind after cleaning the room, and damage caused by dry clean service through the hotel). Im very much annoyed by the extra amount of work the hotel has put on me to do, when I already have a fully packed week of business meetings. Very disappointed at this completely disorganized hotel property. 0/5 recommend to any folks traveling to DC, and particularly for business trips.
Rooms: Room is fairly big, but you can hear sounds of neighbors doing laundry

While we do greatly appreciate your feedback and we do sincerely apologize for any inconveniences caused, we wanted to address your specific concerns:Your request for water is common and happens on a daily occurrence. As water is placed in each unit on arrival, as well as being fully stocked at the front desk, anytime a guest requests water it has always been expeditiously handed to each guest or delivered to the suite on request. We will, however, re-address this with the team.Regarding a team member knocking on your suite door and the team member was asking if they left their radio. We do apologize if there was any type of language barrier or a team member forgetting a piece of equipment.Lastly, we do regret any inconvenience regarding the response from the third-party dry-cleaning company regarding your garment being damaged. Please note once the matter was reported to the AKA management team, we contacted the outsourced dry-cleaning company immediately who then reached out to you directly within 24 hours. They provided a refund for the garment as well as waived the dry-cleaning costs in full for your full bill. We do believe this was handled appropriately, professionally, and timely.We wish we would have known of these challenges while in-house with us so we could have addressed them immediately or assisted you in finding alternative accommodations.We thank you for your feedback and apologize we were not able to meet your expectations.AKA White House Management
