        We had a wonderful stay! Hotel is in such a great location. Everyone at the front desk were so helpful and kind. We enjoyed a late dinner at the bar the night we were there and Eryn was the best! Attentive, made great drinks and super friendly. Would definitely stay here again.

        Just like everyone else, I think the location of the Madison is great! But, the hotel is older and needs a serious remodel. Mos of the older and original rooms are so outdated and badly needs a remodel and deep cleaning. They have managed to get a couple of the floors completed but it's not up to the standards of a true 4-star product from Marriott. I found out this is a franchise so not quite the same budget nor quality from Marriott. I will not go into great details about my bad experiences at this hotel. Most of the staff need to be retrained to the standards for this brand. But, there is one front desk person that is truly exceptional and her name is Olivia. She is very professional, friendly and almost makes up for so many other challenging experiences we had at this hotel. I think The Madison has great potential and I hope they can make the changes that it desperately needs. In the meantime, please remodel and train your staff so that you can remind guests like me why your hotel deserves a 4-star rating and leave us wanting to come back. Walkability: Great location and within easy walking distance to most of the major sights in DC
