Absolutely spectacular meal! The burger was phenomenal and the cubano even better! Our server was an absolute delight. One of the best burgers of my life and well worth a visit! Not only was the meal and service outstanding, but the food was affordable! I will be stopping by every time I'm in the DC area!

Stopped here during our visit to the National Zoo, on a recommendation from Frommer's 2024 DC guide. We arrived just before Easter Sunday brunch kicked off and thankfully had made reservations. We had two Proper Burgers and the kid's chicken tenders. Everything was delicious! Med rare burgers were cooked perfectly and the Thai chili sauce was a great addition! The staff was friendly and welcoming. Kid-friendliness: Even though it's a small space, the staff was welcoming towards our daughter and it was obvious that the neighborhood felt comfortable bringing their kids in. We saw little ones from diapers on up during our short stay.

Went in after visiting the zoo and expected it would be a little touristy- it was anything but! Delicious food, really personable and helpful staff, and amazing chill atmosphere. Try the ribeye sandwich. Only reason I left was because I had to get my car out of my spot hero garage before it closed.
