Taxpayer Advocate Service Office

On March 26, 2023 I filed an amended tax return. By the end of May, I was FINALLY assigned a tax advocate, Ms. Ryan. I spent almost EVERY DAY for 4 weeks leaving this woman messages, crying, EXPLAINING HOW MY CHILDREN AND I ARE ABOUT TO BE EVICTED WITHOUT HER HELP! And still no response. I called her boss, AND STILL NO RESPONSE FROM EITHER OF THEM! My kids and I will be on the streets in a matter of days. Tax advocates are supposed to HELP. Clearly Ms. Ryan and her boss Ms. Childs are doing NOTHING but collecting a paycheck instead of HELPING.

Mr. Tilton was awesome! We had 3 years of issues from the IRS, he resolved them all and in a timely manner. Got us a refund, where we thought we would still owe a balance. Highly recommend this service.

The service is terrible. They make you wait to ring the bell only to come out and say "we are booked for today". But, they took the person in front just several seconds ago without the appointment! also, the rep is saying that I needed to fill out a Power of attorney form, but I told her that I have one from the attorney (key word: attorney). "oh I am not sure if I can take that", she said. why is it so difficult to take a legal power of attorney from the actual attorney. They are useless and clueless staff. Stupid and beyond stupid!!!
