Outstanding orthopedic surgeon. I had total hip replacement surgery in my 70s and have since gone on to climb mountains and hike and take long walks. I swim and bike. I have never had pain after my surgery. If "10 stars" were available on the review I would give him and his whole staff that on the evaluation including the Orthpeddic and Sports Medicine Institute at Baptist. I started developing left hip pain and my GP gave me a referral to see this orthopedic surgeon. I was able to get an appointment two weeks out. My 1st visit was with the doctors assistant. He examined me and took x rays. He felt I would benefit from left hip replacement. He sent me for a mri and I returned after with mri completed. I asked if the surgeon could see me now and the assistant came through and I met with the surgeon and then I met with surgical wcoord was booked for 1/23/24 The day before my surgery I received a phone call directly from the surgeon who asked if I was ready and to ask him any questions I might have. I found the surgeons call to be a classy move. On 1/23/24 I arrived at Doctors hospital at 5:30 am with surgery at 8-8:30 am. At 8:10 they started to take me into surgery. The entire hospital staff were very professional and friendly. To make matters easy I was informed the day before that the hospital has its own pharmacy for scripts that my surgeon wrote. Just before being discharged all my medicines were delivered and the pharmacy worked directly with my insurance. After getting home I reviewed the thick packet of different materials they provided at discharge. I have had numerous surgeries and not once did I ever receive a complete discharge instructions. This packet contained the exercises to do, a complete medication list and how to take. Lastly, my groin pain is now much better only one day after surgery. The surgeon has an excellent bed side manner and I highly recommend this fine surgeon for hips.
