Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!†He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.†Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

The reason they are getting a one star review is because of the way they handle issues. Several weeks ago, I witnessed a woman get roofied at Whatabuger. She only drank half of her Dr. Pepper because it tasted funny, and ended up unconscious after making it home. The next day, she tested the Dr. Pepper, which tested positive for a myriad of drugs. She then went through the police to get the footage, and by the time everything came back from corporate, Whataburger had decided nothing happened and to cover it up without letting anyone view the footage, despite giving them a roughly 45 minute window the incident occurred in within two days of the incident.
If you want to go to a company that covers up drug problems while leaving patrons vulnerable as they provide a safe space for predators to operate, go to this Whataburger. Otherwise, go literally anywhere else.
