I was without running water and called one company to come and check out the problem, but they were too busy and referred me to A&W Pump Service. They (Mr. Myers, Alex Myers and Jeff) came out to my house and put in a submersible pump. I have had an above ground pump for 28 years without a problem. I was not informed of other options such as above ground or submersible pumps and their advantages etc. and pricing. Nothing was explained to me. In addition, submersible pumps are more expensive apparently and cost more to repair if something goes wrong. I also found out later that they average $950 to $2500 and take three to four hours to put in. This one took a total of one hour from the time they stepped onto my property and to when they left. I was charged $3000.00 for one hour of work including the pump. I wrote the check to A&W but the head man said the check needed to be written out to Ron Myers. I thought this odd and questioned “Three thousand dollars for one hour of work?” but the three men said nothing and stared back at me. I did write the check as I was unsure how to handle this surprising situation. They apparently only warranty the pump for one year, but this information is not clear. I felt that the company was taking advantage of an elderly woman with no one else around. I called later to get an itemized bill and to make sure I had a warranty in writing. I was told the warranty was good for five years but found out later it is only good for one year and five years on the pump. I am upset about the fact that I was not offered options and that the whole process took only one hour. When I received the requested itemized bill, it stated “manually pulling pump and installing new pump… ‘normally done with a crane for safety.” It was never explained to me that this was an unsafe procedure or any information about the pump types or other options. I do not trust that they will honor the warranty or that I was charged what is reasonable. Something is not right about the way I was treated and charged. Service: Pump installation

Want to give a shout out to A&W. Had a pump issue last night at 11pm and called several pump service companies. They answered the phone instead of an answering service. They asked great questions and were able to help me fix my problem over the phone instead of having to come out on a service call. They were able to save me money and had my water back up and running in short order. Thanks so much and I’ll be recommending A&W in the future. Service: Pump repairs & installation

I reached out to A&W Pump Services to help revitalize an old well on my property. The galvanized pipe and cap had been cut off and the top of the pipe was covered with grass and dirt. Within no time, Ron and Wendy were able to re-thread the old well pipe and test the well to see if it was useable, which thankfully it was. After realizing it did pump good water, they dug a trench to where I wanted my pump located, ran piping from the well to the pump and had my sprinklers running in a few short hours. Fair price and fantastic experience! I cannot say enough positive things about this company. I would not hesitate to refer them to anyone. Great people and great service!
