Homewood Suites by Hilton Jacksonville Deerwood Park

In this time and day, we have a hard time finding 5 star customer service. The Homewood Suites Deer Park , Florida exemplifies how hospitality should be displayed. The team of Michelle,Cheryl Horne, Amy, Kim and Murak said hello to each guest and smiled while doing it. As a retired regional manager, this lets me know that 5 star service still exist. Please recognize these Hilton team members for the above and beyond service they provide to Hilton hotel guest. I highly recommend this hotel. First off, I am truly disgusted that this is a Hilton brand hotel. My family and I were moved to 2 different rooms. The first time, it wasn't the room I thought I was paying for. Second, the sink didn't work properly in the bathroom, and the room looked like it hadn'tbeen clean. The kitchen floor was dirty, the carpet was dirty, pet hair all over the couch, and cobb webbs in the window seal. Once we got into the 3rd and final room, we thought we were finally good to go until it was time for my son to go to sleep. We pulled out the sofa bed, and the sheet was disgusting!!! (see pic) I didn't bother to tell the front desk person because they seemed unbothered, I didn't feel like moving AGAIN, and it was late. Then, we saw a roach crawling around in front of our door about to go into the room until we killed it. Lastly, my son's eye ended up turning red from laying on the couch before we pulled the bed out. (see pic). I would tell anyone and everyone to please stay away from this hotel, and whoever they have cleaning these rooms and maintenance needs to be fired.

All round poor experience at this hotel. We were meant to have a twin room, instead had a double and a sofa bed with the hotel telling us to make up the hotel bed and not providing sheets until we asked. Iron in room left black marks over my top. Manager at the front desk looked disinterested and shrugged off my frustrations about the room / t shirt damage. Rooms: Dated
