Well I can tell based on one students post the education expectations have truly gone way down since the 70's , (yes I am a former student ) When I attended we were allowed to wear sweaters from home , knee length dresses or skirts, no pants or shorts , there was only ONE bible allowed the KJV , We didn't have outside catered meals we weren't allowed off campus once we got there. Dancing was not allowed in any form , Is the curriculum still teaching students that Yoga and meditation will remove you from God's salvation? Have the gym uniforms for the gals changed, ? The pants were navy blue, came down to the top of the knee , they were tight, if you stuck your finger in the side it would pull back and snap when your finger was removed .

As a former student: I didn't hate my time at Trinity. The rules were very strict and at times it felt like the teachers were enforcing rules in a petty way, but that has improved over the past decade. I think the education I received was sufficient to prepare me for college. There was a lack of clubs and electives when I attended, but that seems to have improved also. The school was very fundamentalist and uptight back then but seems to have loosened up a bit. As a former teacher: My starting pay was 56% of what I could've made teaching at a public school. I struggled paycheck to paycheck the entire time I worked here. The discount on tuition for my children was incredible and was the only way my kids were able to attend. The students I taught were mostly really great kids. I was given a lot of freedom with my lesson plans and class structure, which I appreciated. As a parent of former students: I always felt like my children were safe and cared for. One of my children is on the spectrum and I began to feel that Trinity did not have the resources to teach him effectively, so we made the transition to public school. At this time, I learned that Trinity should have had access to additional resources offered by the state to private schools to help him, and that they either were not aware of it, or were not willing to take advantage of those resources. As a citizen: I do not appreciate Trinity hosting political campaigns on campus.

The children are respectful, disciplined, encouraged and challenged. The teachers are admirable educators who create an atmosphere for the children to rise to their potential. The children are acknowledged for their efforts and their hard work. When an area of opportunity for growth is identified, the parents are notified. The child, teacher and parents work with the child to overcome the hurdles. The deficit is not overlooked & swept under the rug. The child is responsible to rise to the challenge and with the support of teachers and family, the child is guided and developed, not allowed to fall behind. Lets stand With our educators. Hand in Hand. To promote the children and help guide them, with the TEACHERS. The children are our LEADERS OF TOMORROW. TCA I APPLAUD YOUR EFFORTS !
