I don't know what the point of having self checkout is anymore if an employee stands there and scans your stuff for you at the machine. The past couple of times I've been there I've gone up to one of the self checkout machines and an employee would come up and start scanning the items for me, another time an employee just stood behind me and watched me. I understand lost prevention, but as someone who is autistic and has serious social anxiety it made me really uncomfortable when every time I shop there I intend on not having to interact with anyone, especially at a SELF-CHECKOUT. I understand the employees are just trying to do their job but I think this is a stupid policy made by higher ups
