Avis Car Rental

Rented a car (a day prior with confirmation) to go to Everglades national park. On the day of the trip, there were no cars available at the location in Loews hotel. Customer service representative sent us to a different location where she guaranteed there is a car available FOR US( 20 minutes walk). At the new location on Collins Avenue, there were no cars available. Ruined our trip. We called customer service to talk to the supervisor and I was hung up on. Hope you have better luck or try a different car rental service.

If you have a reservation, dont assume your car will be there. And the customer service is really, really bad.

Usually I take avis car from airport and was everything perfect. But this location ruined my day. I'm waiting 2 + hours and get car which do not work properly. And finally I'm returned it. And take a taxi.

Showed up to pick up my car and only response from customer rep was that she had no cars and didn't know when she would have cars available. This was for a PREPAID reservation made the day before. How can Avis take money for a service that they knew they couldn't honor? Customer rep's attitude of "not my problem, nothing I can do" made matters worse. No apology, no good-faith attempt to make things better or to find an alternative. Terrible experience and would appreciate someone from corporate reaching out
