    As a Hilton Honors member, my family and I chose The Gates by Hilton for our recent business trip to Miami due to its convenient location. While the hotel's warm cookies upon arrival were delightful, our stay was unfortunately marred by significant issues that overshadowed any positive aspects. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a delay of 1-2 hours before our room was ready, despite having made a reservation. Additionally, the hotel mistakenly booked us for two rooms, resulting in confusion and unnecessary time spent resolving the error. The most concerning issue arose upon receiving our final bill, which included a $400 smoking fee. This charge was inexplicable as none of us smoke, and it was disappointing that the hotel failed to rectify the situation despite our attempts to resolve it. They sent us a smoking report, which doesn't justify anything. Hilton should research whoever is getting these reports, because we were shocked to see a report of something that has not been done. Despite our efforts to address these issues with the hotel, we received no resolution, leaving us feeling neglected and frustrated. While the location of Gates by Hilton was convenient for our business trip, our overall experience was marred by delays, billing errors, and unresponsive staff. As a loyal Hilton Honors member, I cannot recommend this hotel until significant improvements are made to address these recurring issues and restore customer confidence. Sincerely, Turgay Polat

This full-service hotel is located on famous Collins Avenue at 23rd Street in the heart of South Beach and is across the street from the Atlantic Ocean. Convenient to all that South Florida has to offer, the hotel is only steps from Lincoln Road, Ocean Drive and South Beach’s best dining, shopping, nightlife and entertainment – as well as convenient to downtown.
