Our dog experienced sudden lameness and we took her to EPH at our primary veterinarian's recommendation. I was skeptical when I read the reviews, but decided to give it a try. When we arrived, there were no other people in the waiting room, and we were put into an exam room right away, where we were promptly greated by a tech. We then waited nearly 2 hours. No one ever came in to check on us. I saw the tech and receptionist chatting up front, and I decided to ask how much longer we could expect to wait. I was met with extreme passive agression by the tech. We called another emergency vet clinic down the road (with much better reviews), and were encouraged to come on in. There, we were seen within 5 minutes upon arrival by the veterinarian.

On March 17, 2024 I brought my cat there due to him not urinating and he was in pain. The vet stated he had crystals and was going to have to be irrigated. My cat had to have a catheter inserted and sutured in place. I picked him up the next day and the vet techs could not handle him ( my cat uses a harness/ leash when going anywhere even to his regular vet appointments) they bring him in a room where I take care of him. I brought him to the car and he was still acting strange the same behavior before bring him in. I brought him back in and told them he was still having the issue. they assured me he was urinating because he had been sitting in his littler box?, and he would have some irritation and behave like that? My cat does not sit in a litter box ? My cat still wasn't urinating and having pain through the night, acting again the same way prior. I had to take him to his regular vets - Gulfshore Animal Hospital. Dr. Randt was able to remove a mucus plug that had formed. My point $1,500.00 my cat was still in the same predicament and they just turned him away a second time. At his regular vets he did have a hard full bladder and could not urinate which Dr. Randt has to intervene.

We have been around animals of all sizes all of our lives. One of our Scottish Terriers became violently ill all of a sudden the other night. I walked him out, but he was eating way too much grass to regurgitate and vomiting too often for me to be comfortable with it, so I scrambled, at 11:30 PM. ....to find an "Emergency" Vet . I have , in the past, had to use another one in this area. Let's just say....;that it was a less than positive, and very expensive experience. THIS...WAS DIFFERENT! The girl on the phone couldn't have been nicer. She said "Come right away. Bring him right now! We will meet you at the door!. VERY...reassuring. I drove the 45 minutes out there. Now...it's past midnight. When I arrived....sure enough....she was there waiting! FIRST....she asked me about "Mac"....and how he was. He was coming out of it a little so I filled out a very brief entrance form. The girl took us immediately into an examination room, and a Veterinarian came in almost immediately after! I wasn't used to that. What I was used to....is waiting a long time elsewhere. The Vet checked Mac out, reassured me that he was going to be OK....and made some suggestions....which I agreed to. He gave Mac an anti nausea shot, hydrated him a little....and I requested a blood panel to be sure. 15 minutes later.....that was done! Mac....had just somehow eaten way too much....of our other dog's food! It was not just after 1 AM. We...were ready to head home. EVERYONE....even some of the clients who were in the waiting room.....were amazingly nice.....and attentive! I have used lots of Veterinarians over the years ....but never been treated this well. ( I don't know how they do it....at that time of the night!). I.....will NEVER go anywhere else. It was a VERY POSITIVE experience from phone call to the end.....and Mac is fine now!

We took our dog to this hospital with a fractured nail. They charged us $418 for the procedure, including removing the nail, providing medication, and giving a collar to prevent the puppy from reaching the injured area and avoid future complications. The next day, we realized the collar was too small. We returned to have it changed for a bigger one that matched our dog's size, but they charged us again for the new collar. At that moment, I felt they only cared about the money. The night before, everyone was very nice when I was paying a significant amount for a quick nail removal (a 10-minute procedure). However, today, I had to leave with the new collar in my hands and put it on the puppy myself because not even a nurse came out to help.

I was very hesitant to come here since the reviews werent as good as other hospitals in the area but it was the closest and my general vet recommended it so I figured Id give it a shot and Im so glad I did. I had a great experience with Dr. Madison and the rest of the staff is very friendly and welcoming. I thought that everything I was charged for during his 2 night stay made sense and I didnt feel like I was being taken advantage of and charged for unnecessary things. Even the cost was relatively fair for being an emergency pet hospital. Overall, Im happy with the experience I had here and would return if I ever needed to.
