I want to thank Dr. Michelle Mullins (and Mark) for their great treatment of my knee which was in much pain when I arrived but is now 90% pain-free 2 days after her office procedure. I am very thankful for her professional service!

I had a very frustrating experience at Rothman Orthopaedics. I brought my eleven year old daughter into their winter park Florida office based on a referral from Advent Health. After providing my insurance card and ID I sat for 25 minutes before I was told by the receptionist that they could not confirm coverage for my daughter. I confirmed she was covered and asked they call my BCAnthem insurance intermediary Healthcomp again, confirming my member number. After another 15 minutes I was asked if I was new to my employer, which I am not, so I decided to call my insurer myself to make sure it was not my error. After waiting less than a minute on hold I spoke to my insurer validated coverage and provided Rothman a phone number to call to do the same. 10 minutes later, with my daughter in tears I asked where we were at. I was told still no progress so I asked if I could three way their business office with my insurer. The receptionist provided me a phone number which sent me and my insurer into a general queue which spoke to long wait times. I asked the receptionist if she could provide a direct liner or chat the individual who was working to validate my insurance and was told she was no longer at her desk. Its was 12:15 by this time so I guess she must have been hungry and went to lunch. At that point the receptionist who was kind throughout the process acknowledged the unique circumstances and said she would talk face to face with the doctor and see if they could see my daughter prior to verifying my coverage. She came back and told me the doctor said no. SOOO an hour and twenty Minutes later that was my experience. Brutal customer service experience based on a lack of execution in validating my insurance and a lack of concern for a potential patient.
