We had the initial meeting with him and set a budget for 31,000 dollars and he told me it wouldn't be a problem. Then he added 31,000 more on it and told me I was making additions to the project. I didn't add anything just wanted the same pool design as "another " client of his which he charge the 31000.. Don't know if is true or not. But to make the long story short he wanted me to pay 62,000 dollars for a budget of 31,000??? I am almost done with my pool I did it myself with the supervision of Cornerstone pools (highly recommend) and ended paying the 31,000 budget. Please beware...

We had a very good experience with Bella pools and Jason. We elected to build our pool as the owner builder with there help. I saved a lot of money and was able to get all the options that I wanted. We had other estimates from other pool companies but was limited because of price. My neighbor is the one that recommended me from their pool they built 12 years ago. The process made it less stressful than my last pool building with Champagne Pools that's out of business. The quality is very good and the travertine and glass tiles really make the pool. I recommend also the pebble pool inside and solar pool heat with Everything Solar. Thank you everyone at Bella Pools and Jason for everything!!!

My husband and I were recommended to use Bella Pools because they had a great experience with them 3-4 years ago. However, we were sorely disappointed with our experience and discourage anyone from pursuing building a pool with them. When we met on December 6 and signed our contract to begin the pool design process with Jason Spencer, we expressed how we were anxious to get started early enough to be able to have a completed pool for the summer and hoped to start construction in February. He said that was an attainable goal and that that we should have our first design to us by the next week, giving us time to look it over and make revisions to hopefully be ready to break ground sometime in February. On Dec 7, he emailed us expressed some difficulty regarding opening the plans and survey files. I responded back on December 15 to see if he had been able to move forward or whether he needed a PDF version. At this point I had not heard andything except through this email. After sending that email on the 15th we still didn't hear back from you by email or by phone. I waited and then left a voicemail on December 21 asking you to call me back because I hadn't heard anything, and at this point it was a good week past when we were supposed to be seeing the first draft of the design. I heard back his associate, Michael on December 22. He said that he assumed I had been aware that Jason's dad had passed away and he had traveled to Tennessee for the funeral. I asked him where we were on the design process since I had expected to see a design the week before and he said that he had computer problems and so his portion of the project was not complete since his laptop had been in the shop. However he said that he would be working on it in the next few days over Christmas weekend and that Jason should be back from your trip by Wednesday, December 27. I told him that I was sympathetic to your family crisis, but that I was frustrated that nothing had been communicated to us about the status for the past 2 weeks. Knowing that Jason were supposed to be home by December 26, we has still heard nothing by January 8. We called Jason that night and found that they still had no designs ready to send to us. During the phone conversation Jason never fully owned up to their errors, but instead said he was disappointed that we weren't more understanding of his family situation. We expressed that we were sympathetic, but did not want to continue to do business with someone we couldn't communicate with. We asked for our $750 deposit back since we had received nothing and asked to part ways. He became explosive on the phone, said that he couldn't believe we wanted him to do all of this design work for free. Then he said he wasn't even going to make a lot of money on our pool anyways, and abruptly said that we would get our money back....then hung up on us. I sent him an email that night summarizing the situation and formally asking for a refund. We received nothing. Instead, 10 days later he sent us a 3D rendering of a pool that wasn't even directly in line with what we had asked for at our last meeting and never addressed that we wanted to part ways and not do business. I emailed again reminding him that I wanted a refund and never heard back from him again. Apparently some things have changed in Bella Pools' business dealings since our friends did business with them and unless they change back, can not recommend them to anyone. We felt like our experience was full of excuses and empty promises.
