Truist

This is my local bank and I come here quite often. Yesterday, I stopped through the drive through to obtain a temporary card. When I requested my card, Tanya the branch manager said that is something I have to go into the bank for. I informed her I have done this transaction through the drive through before and she looks behind me, saw that there were no cars and said let me see what I can do. Tanya then came back to the window and insisted I come into the branch to obtain my temporary card. She denied me access to obtain my card and access to my funds although I had my passport and Drivers License in hand for proof of identity. I called corporate to report this matter and asked if this was in their policy. The representative I spoke with stated it was not within their policy and the representative at the drive through should have been able to assist me. I now have to wait 5-7 business days to obtain a new card as I am uncomfortable going to this bank now in fear of being profiled again, as there was no accurate reason for the denial of my request.

I have to say, I deal with a lot of banks and have dealt with many more over the years. Since their creation after taking over BB&T & Suntrust, Truist really is a solid bank. Every branch I have visited since their creation is helpful, knowledgeable, and makes you feel like youre a customer. This is a lot more than I can say for many of the other big banks. I feel like I get the hometown bank relationship with the big bank perks. If youre considering a bank, I recommend giving Truist a strong consideration.
