InsuranceMD was great. Nicholas Trawinski made things super simple. I was looking for own occupation disability insurance to supplement my disability available from my employer. Nick and his team were exceptionally responsive and moved the process along very quickly. I was initially quoted that the process would take 4-6 weeks from the first call to the policy. In actuality, I think it took more like 3. Everything was explained well, multiple quotes/offers were presented, and I never felt pressured or rushed. I would highly recommend InsuranceMD for any physician looking for disability insurance and will recommend them to my colleagues.

My experience with Insurance MD for disability insurance was outstanding. Nick Trawinski was very informative and objective throughout the process. I really appreciated his patience and no pressure approach. He was able to provide multiple quotes and guide me through everything. Of note, he is very knowledgeable about my disability benefits at my job at The University of Virginia, and this was invaluable when selecting supplemental disability insurance. Having attempted to obtain long term disability through several other companies, including the AMA, I nearly gave up after the process took more than 4-6 months with each company. I was 30 something and in perfect health when I reached out to the AMA for a physician-member discounted policy. after waiting six months for them to send me a quote and respond to a follow up question, I ended up having an unexpected surgery and had to take time off without any type of coverage in place. Granted to say I will never recommend working with them. After having a full recovery, I reached out to a second reputable company. It took them five months to obtain my medical records despite dozens of emails on my end offering help and EPIC access. Needless to say, I called Nick and I knew during the quick consultation that I was in better hands with him and Kellan. In a matter of two weeks, I had signed a long term disability policy they secured for me at a great rate. They're not only knowledgeable about all the nuances of the different policies (saving me a huge headache I would have endured w/ the prior company), but also tech savvy, allowing me to share my confidential information securely in a portal (rather than through endless emails) and able to keep tabs on tasks. I would recommend InsuranceMD to any physician looking for an efficient, responsive and competent policy advisor.
