Best Western Acworth Inn

I would truly not recommend this hotel to anyone. For the amount I paid the hotel is in dire need of upgrading the shower curtains would not even fully close so the floor we get soaked with water during showers, the pillows on the beds were small square pillows and mattresses hard as rock, the AC did not work. It took two days for it to even cool down in the room, the electrical outlets would not even hold a plug in the wall, and it was the noisiest hotel outside at night. We did NOT partake in the complementary breakfast. It was generic with little variety, messy, and not appetizing at all. We went to McDonalds next door. I will never stay at this Best Western again and honestly I dont know if I will stay at a Best Western again after this experience. In town for 2 days for a wedding. Check in is at 2 pm arrived slightly after 2:30pm. No hand soap or running water. Telephone to call front desk did not work. They said that the Plumber is working on the site now. This should have been communicated immediately to every customer that was coming there. Just very poor business

Accidentally left my driver's license with the front desk at check-in. Realized it the next night an hr away. Called back, was told she tried to call my room when I left it but I didn't answer. After I unpacked my car, I never left my room. Maybe the phone in my room wasn't working. Either way, why not try again? Or come tell me? Or leave a note with the desk so they give it to me the next day? The manager allegedly mailed me the license, which I never got. According to another clerk, she found it still there weeks after it was supposedly sent. When I told the manager this, he assured me he sent it, that what she saw was a copy. I don't know what to believe, but this all could've been resolved while I was still at the hotel.

I woke up in the morning and the lights in the bathroom and sink area were not working at all. After 10 minutes of flicking them on and off and pressing the test/reset buttons on the wall outlet, the lights magically came back on. Not sure how or why those are connected? Also I requested a late checkout so I could shower after I got the lights back on and the front desk agent granted me an extra 30 minutes. What they dont tell you is they like to shut their water off at 11am exactly! I was mid shower and they shut my water off. I called the front desk back and all the man could say was there was a plumber fixing the pipes and then promptly hung up on me! I couldnt wash the soap off of me or even brush my teeth. Not to mention there was no plumber/maintenance truck or van anywhere on the premises which further led me to believe they do this just to ensure guests leave the property ASAP. Terrible experience and will not be returning!
