Called and asked for no modem, since you can't take it off on the website. Agent assured me technician won't install it. Technician Katrel insisted on installing it, promised to come back and pick it up, and then never did. Called support, and they said he never should have installed it...

Atrocious customer service. Received a pre-call for a service appointment and was told by the automated phone system ("Molli") to hold while I was connected to the service technician. No one answered or spoke a word, and the phone call was disconnected. I immediately called Mediacom and verbally confirmed my appointment through their automated system. Then, took the extra precaution of speaking to a customer service representative, who told me that I would have to be rescheduled because the technician claimed he could not get a hold of anyone. The tech didn't even show up at my house. I said no to the reschedule, but the CSR did it anyway. This company places too much power into the hands of technicians over scheduling, and allows them to shirk their appointments. No resolution has been offered, and profuse apologies don't fix this problem. Where's the accountability? The services I paid for are not being provided for by the terms of contract.
