I am a new Chamber member and perhaps the newest Ambassador. If you think Chambers of Commerce are full of dull stuffed shirts you have never visited an Athens Area Chamber of Commerce event. From Chamber 101 to ribbon cuttings to after hours socials, you will meet at least one fascinating and fun new person at every event. If you are shy and standing by yourself, one of many Ambassadors will engage you in conversation and introduce you around. Unless you have been sleeping under a rock you know that UGA won the National Championship in football. There is no better time than 2022 to get involved with this outstanding Chamber of Commerce. Further, with over 600 members the staff is only two excellent full time people and one part time excellent person. All other work is done by volunteers. Quite remarkable.

I joined the Athens area Chamber of Commerce this year to network, build relationships, and meet new people. All of these things have happened, and more!
I really enjoy the events that they put on and have found the information shared to be very useful. All in all, I'm very happy to have joined and I am excited to be a part of this group in the future.
