Hampton Inn Atlanta-North Druid Hills

Worst hotel experience ever. I found little bugs in the room... on the bed and on the wall. Based on my Google search, they may have been carpet beetles. It was disgusting! The hotel in general looks very dirrty. The location of the hotel wasn't great either. Never staying there again. I ended up canceling my second night stay and booked a different hotel. Holiday Inn Express at Decatur was so much better.

My bathroom flooded via an overhead light fixture, the room smelled like mildew prior to, but the staff was amazing

The front desk staff upon checking in was exceptional. The lobby was full when we arrived. Some guests were experiencing a problem with check-in (couldn't find their reservation and guests had no documentation). The gal was calm and polite through it all while getting everyone else checked in. As for the rest ... It was not the brand consistency we have come to expect from Hampton Inn. Friends who traveled with us first room smelled like cigars. The front desk person cheerfully gave them a different room that smelled like weed. Third room was finally ok. There was dust and trash in the corners and between furniture on our floor. There was no ice bucket, just a bag. What were we supposed to do with that? The shower head was not adjustable. The adjusting ring fell off in my hand. The paint on doors and cabinets was peeling. When we went to the lobby for breakfast at 8:30 am (hours are 6-10). The area was not open due to a system failure and they couldn't open the door. Overall disappointing. This place needs a little TLC!
