I unfortunately did not have a great experience. I called to ask for boxing classes for my 7 year old son. I was told yes, he could come try a class and was given dates and fees. I let the woman on the phone know that he has mild Autism and wanted to be sure that was ok. She gave me an immediate no and stated they didnt have enough instructors. I understand her concern, but there werent any questions asked about his ability or past experience. I asked if they would be willing to meet him and allow him to try a class and again got an immediate no. Of course I dont want to take him somewhere that feels they arent equipped or doesnt want him there, but my heart broke for my son anyway. Making a judgement call based on a diagnosis without meeting that child or giving him a chance was very disappointing. They have that right, but I hope they will reconsider how they approach the topic and special needs population. If you find yourself in a similar position as myself, please know that The Dojo in Braselton is completely open to working with kids on the spectrum (even though they also only have one instructor per class). We had a wonderful experience with Dojo and would highly recommend them. My son just wanted to try something different.

The owners are great! Absolutely love this place. My girls and their daddy all train here and they all love it! We came from a different place and this one is by far a better place for all ages!

Phenomenal experience! My husband and I have been wanting to try bjj for a while now and we are so glad we went here. Felt very welcome and comfortable.

The professionalism of the instructor and the individual that runs this establishment is unbelievably sound. The instructor is not only patient and demonstrated awesome techniques to the art of jiu-jitsu. In addition his creativity and encouragement and positive reinforcement is beyond, the realm of a professor teaching his students to become majors in a selected profession. Not only does this instructor encourage his students to follow their own path and be creative with this art. Highly recommended highly motivational highly respected.
