Phoebe Lawson Stables

Great news! Phoebe Lawson Stables has moved to 430 Roper Rd in Canton. The new arena is huge and so fun to ride around. At age 68 I have been taking lessons since January and I am loving every minute of it. Phoebe taught this first time rider how to ride with lots of care for my safety. Through demonstration (how I learn) and encouragement I am now able to ride in group lessons while still continuing to learn more each week. I can't say enough about the level of commitment to care of the horses and the students. The companionship with the other riders is another reason I love to ride each week. Barbara Brown

Wonderful stable all around!! Great horsemen, horses, training, and wonderful friendly people!! Its a hidden gem in GA. Phoebe has worked with the best in the world. She continually finds and builds great athletes in her horses and great character in her students.

We recently wanted a peaceful getaway from the routine and chose to stay at Phoebe Lawson's Stables Airbnb. Little did we realize what a charming beautiful secluded oasis this gem of a place would be. Nestled in a rolling hills, forest setting, this home is one of several elite estates that make up the equestrian culture Milton GA is known for. The first level, two bedroom suite is meticulously decorated with a casual comfortable feel ... feels very happy and joyful. Open, well equipped kitchen / dining / living great room is a great place to relax. Of course, the getaway is memorable from the incredibly beautiful horses that make this their home too. Breathtakingly majestic creatures to watch as they are on stage in these active working equestrian stables. The owner PB is a delightful and accommodating host. We'd highly recommend this respite sanctuary.

An outstanding instructor for all ages, who knows more than how to develop a great rider; Ms Lawson develops all-around lifelong horsewomen and horsemen. I speak from a 40-year history with Ms. Lawson. I am still riding, still hunting, and am still working with horses. Ms Lawson has developed riders from beginners all the way to A Circuit National Champions. Theses aren't just riders; they are much more - they are Equestrians - and that's because of what they have learned from Ms. Lawson. Ms. Lawson is unique among trainers: not only can she coach a great ride, but she is trained to coach the psychological side of elite level competition. The horses at PL Stables are well cared for, well trained for their purpose, and safe. Ms. Lawson has a discerning eye for finding the right horse for purchase so riders can achieve their long-term aspirations. The stables and pastures are tidy, spotless, and suited for the horses. The training facility is picturesque; it is set in a park with miles of trails for riding off-property, near Milton, Ga, near Alpharetta, convenient to Atlanta. If you want to become or develop a lifelong horsewoman or man, I can personally recommend Phoebe Lawson, and her facility to you.
