Dear Mr. Murray, Based on the timing of your review, you were obviously the rude guy, demanding a vase of a dozen purple roses...immediately. First know, there is no such thing as a naturally grown purple rose on the market at this time. Lavender roses do exist, however we were sold out. We can get lavender roses, however they are “special order”. Secondly, when did your poor planning, or lack planning become my problem??? Birthday's are a yearly event, your had more than 300 days to prepare. Traffic...a fact of life, especially in the Atlanta area. Our phone number is readily available, just like our address. Our abundance of wonderful customers desire personal/professionally crafted bouquets made especially for their loved ones, thus we cater to this clientele. Hopefully you were able to procure a “fast” bouquet (hopefully fresh & well designed) at the grocery store. “Stop and smell the roses”; life's too short! *Edited for professionalism.

I find your comment concerning! Flowers are a "luxury"; whereas food, water, shelter are "necessities". You also made the SAME comment in reviews of the other 2 shops in town as well today! At the Covington Flower Shop, I constantly re-evaluate my business practices, including pricing. There are many factors which go into floral pricing. I truly believe the Covington Flower Shop has the best pricing, quality, design & customer service. Perhaps you called all 3 shops today to check on pricing as many other people do. Honesty has always been my policy, I have found it pays back in dividends. In working with my customers, I am able to understand their needs & assist them in the best possible manner even if that may mean losing a sale. Florists' business is mainly based on emotion & design. While many will drop big $$$$ on an arrangement in a crystal vase with lush mixed greens, many will buy a single rose wrapped in tissue. I know for a fact that my single rose in tissue is of better quality, far fresher & costs less than a loose rose at Kroger on Hwy. 278.It is the emotion conveyed to the gifted individual that matters far more in the long run. Funny story ... not long ago, a guy ordered 3 dozen specialty roses with lush greens/curly willow/designer vase - lots of $$$$$. Upon delivery to his girlfriend, she immediately took them, and threw them in the garage can at the curb. Earlier that same day, another customer called in tears, as she felt she had just received the most beautiful single red rose she had ever seen when her husband brought it home to her after stopping by my shop. Some people must have a new Mercedes, regardless if they can afford it or not. Others are are happy with a new Nissan. And some are happiest with a reliable, used Honda and no car note.
