Nancy Mills Independent Appraisal

Do not use Mills to appraise your property. She is extremely unprofessional. She accepted the job but arrived late for the appointment. After inspecting our house, she left saying she would try to get the report to us quickly but that it could take two weeks. When two weeks and two days passed, and we had heard nothing from Mills, we contacted her. She asked for another week. We gave her two more weeks. At the end of the second set of two weeks, we still heard nothing from her. Again, we contacted her, but she again asked for more time. This continued for more than six weeks. Our realtor contacted her and we still received no appraisal report. Mills called us but left no message several times. However, we immediately tried to return her calls only to be ignored for hours or a day. Finally, we sent her a letter by email and notified her we were also sending the letter by certified mail and demanded our money back. She continued her completely unprofessional behavior by refusing to sign the certified letter. Of course, since she responded to our email letter requesting to have our money refunded, we have proof she received our letter. It was only then that she sent the appraisal report. However, even then she told us it was ready for two days before she actually sent the report to us. Highly unprofessional! We did not pursue her for the return of our money, but we do hope she will learn not to behave in such an unprofessional manner and not to treat clients so badly.

She was gr8, very thorough, excellent appraiser, went by Lender Guidelines, my appraised value was right about what I was thinking,
