The Baxter Decatur Apartments

Please dont be fooled by this propertys aesthetic. Gates are broken constantly, elevator is broken regularly, and office staff is unorganized and rude. The hallways will sit with trash for days on the weekends. One of the lovely neighbors decided to sit a cake out in the hallway, where it sat for a few days before being picked up (picture attached). You can only imagine how this attracts pests. Cars get broken into. Packages get stolen here, and now its filled with kids running around the property. Pool parties get out of hand during the summer, so now residents have to be monitored like children and are expected to have wristbands to enter the pool. This once was a beautiful community, but that has changed. There is currently a parking spot filled with furniture that was left by who Im assuming was a former resident (pictured below). This is so disgusting to see when you realize how much you pay to live in a luxurious community. The quality of the residents has plummeted. Its obvious that the company just wanted to fill vacancies. The prices continue to increase while the quality of living decreases. I wouldnt recommend.

If I could give less than 1 star. Its been three weeks since I have put in the maintenance request regarding the leaking from the roof, and two window panels. Including after hour emergency calls. But none got responded back. I thought of writing the review in those three weeks. But today it happened again. I have called multiple times in those three weeks to get it fixed including visited the office to mention regarding this maintenance request but there are series of reasons which are ready and keep saying that it will take couple more days for contracter to come person who responded is Alma as she said there are other apartments who is facing same problem, and we are working on it The apartment is getting flooded, luckily I was home to move the furniture. The apartment have a flaw, everytime it heavy rains with winds, apartment starts flooding through the window and ceiling. My suggestion would be the apartments are good looking but the maintenance is the worst they have got; including the people who respond at the office but not work on the request. You can check the number of apartments they have but the maintainence person is just one. Initially while staying it felt good but as stayed for 3 months. You start to realize the maintenance is the worst for the Baxter. Trust me, as it regretful it sounds, the beautiful apartments have the worst people to take care of. FYI - I have emailed, called, put in the request, after hours emergency voicemails, visited the office. NONE OF THEM FIXED THIS APARTMENT IN THREE WEEKS and it flooded again today

I had the most fantastic experience with the leasing office! From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted warmly by Veronica. They went above and beyond to make the entire leasing process seamless and stress-free.
