Updated review: thank you for response from Restaurant / Owner. I think customers should be informed of how to avoid paid parking. There was no parking validation offered for dining at this cafe. I had to pay for parking.

Incredible place by incredible staff who treat you like family. Classical music in the background, classy decorations, everything is just simply perfect. If I lived closer I'd come every afternoon.

Its a hidden gem. Food made with fresh ingredients, great variety of coffee and tea options, and delicious cookies served in a warm and cozy decor. The owners Atay and Yasemin are very hospitable. We were fortunate enough to hear about their journey to open this awesome place. After traveling around the world through their corporate career, they found Decatur to be the place to open Mezze-Potamia ( a clever wordplay alluding to Mesopotamia). Go check out this place. Youll enjoy it.

This is a real gem next to Decatur Square. The food is fresh and delicious, but what sets this restaurant apart from the others in the neighborhood is the love and soul that you feel in the food which has been artfully prepared by the owners (not just hired hands). Besides being meticulous chefs, they are also extremely welcoming and professional. A definite must-go to place for those interested in authentic food from the Mediterranean. Personally, my favorites are the mezza platter composed of hummus, baba ghanouj, tabouli, and tzatziki. Their desserts are also amazing.

This is an excellent place to have breakfast or lunch and enjoy a little break to relax during the day. The menu is incredible and everything they serve is so authentic, fresh, healthy and delicious. Finally, the service couldnt be better, very kind and sweet. I highly recommend it. P.S. they have the best Baklava, coffee and soups!
