Arbor Terrace Decatur

My Moms last 3 years were spent at Arbor Terrace Evergreen unit. The team of Resident Assistants are the most loving and caring caretakers. Mom wanted to adopt them all! They will forever have a place in my heart.

We are pleased with the caring and loving attention our Mom is provided with. All of the Assistants and Staff in the Evergreen Unit care deeply for not only the residents but the family members. We have found every employee at Arbor Terrace of Decatur to be responsive to any needs or concerns.

The sense of team and camaraderie are apparent the moment you walk through the door. One of mom's caregivers suggested that I get her a newspaper, which I hadn't thought of (duh-I know that would be great for her! Get on the ball, daughter, but Ilene was there first!) Talk about patient-centered care! and staff with their hearts in the right place. Stacey who manages the 3rd floor memory care staff, does so with compassion and efficiency. A great landing place for mom!!!

I was fired from Arbor Terrace of Decatur, wrongly.. I realized that it was a hostile environment that I was working, management (ED) Ashton Arnold is a bully and abused her position and authority to do whatever she felt or to whomever she disliked, and it went unbothered, unpunished.. but to us that it caused a disruption in our livelihood it's unfair.. My husband contracted Covid-19 and I was told that I would have to quarantine before coming back to work 14 days plus come outside of job to be tested, while tested 3x with negative results I still was ask to quarantine. When called back to work I was told I didn't qualify to get paid because I wasn't positive and that the owner said I wasn't to get paid.(Ed message to me) So for two weeks no pay inspite of the emergency Covid act law. I witnessed so much corruption and wrong doing but who do you have to fight for you when corporate supports her in her wrong doings.. Bogus write up took place with fabrication of lies from ED. She made 2 other managers write me up that had no clue as to what was going on or took place but they knew I wasn't lying and she was but do to her position and bullying and fear of losing their jobs they went along.. I m a strong believer in GOD and although I've heard the horrible tales of "Corporate World" nothing or no one is bigger than GOD.. So ask me again about this company, after almost 2yrs of employment with them.. There's a different view.. A closer view... Signed, Fired without just cause.

Im so honored to have the opportunity to extend an excellent rating to Arbor Terrace of Decatur. God truly led us to this Community after vetting many senior living establishments. Both of our Parents happily live here. In fact, in July 2023, they will have been here for a year! Our Parents are treated well and cared for - physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. Theyre more content and healthier than theyve been in years and were so grateful to everyone at Arbor who has contributed to making this home. This includes the leadership team, nursing, engagement/activities team, RA team, nutrition/dietary, maintenance, housekeeping, and others. Our Parents lives are so much more enriched and theyre thriving and living their lives together to the fullest! Were so grateful, Jann
