Dont bother reporting crime. They do not care and will probably be annoyed you even attempted to.

I called the police due my childs father putting his hands on me after I had to defend myself against him all while I was doing a scheduled pick up of my daughter. My daughter saw the whole thing and no one spoke to my daughter. The responding officer took his side and said I was the offender and he was the victim when it was me that being assaulted the whole time and was pushed into the neighbors car and the bushes. Hell! I still had grass and leaves on my back when they arrived. I even pulled some out of my bra when I showered that evening. Also the girlfriend pulled him off of me because by that time he had me pinned into the bushes. But none of that was listed in the police report. As a matter of fact the only part that was listed in the police report from my side was the fact I defended myself (and trust that it was not written on that police report that way). This is why women don't like calling on the law to have our backs. A black man protected another black man (who was actually the offender). I would definitely like for the police chief thats responsible for the east precinct in Lithonia, GA to respond to me because Ive called and left a message for the responding, lying officer and never received a call back. Its been since Friday, April 15, 2022 and still have received a call back. DeKalb County, this is what your tax dollars pay for.

Ive never had anything expect positive experiences when dealing with this precinct. Im always met with professionalism and helpfulness. The majority of complaints seem to be about the answering of phones. It could be that perhaps something other than the complainants problem is occurring simultaneously and that it supersedes complainants problem. It could also be that all the marching and protesting and calls for the defunding of police departments unfortunately hit the switchboard operator funding first. If so then there just simply isnt enough funding to pay someone to screen all the nonexistent problems. Ive never had this issue so I stick by my original opinion and I give the officers located at this precinct 5 stars.
