The Doctor's Office LLC

Edit: TLDR version Dr. Wood wonderful, Rest of the experience is horrid thanks to Emory Policies. Long time patient, been with Doctor Wood since he had offices on Keys Ferry. (30+ yrs) Was a wonderful physician with great bedside manner and is genuinely concerned with his patients. So much so I recommended my extended family to switch to him. That went away when Emory swallowed his practice. My disabled wife is a current and ongoing patient, with our budget I cannot make unnecessary office visits for myself. Because It has been over 5 yrs since I -personally- saw him, they now claim I must be considered a "new" patient and Doctor Wood isn't accepting new patients. After all these years and all the people I sent his way, I am not ALLOWED even to have a call back from the Doctor himself, I was told it would be referred to an Emory office manager. (read as a brush off). ---------Update: 06/2021 Recently came back as a new patient as I had such a bad ear infection that the canal was too blocked for the Nurse Practitioner to see in the ear. ZERO face time with a Doctor, handed a prescription for antibiotics, sent away with if this doesn't help please schedule a follow up... Far cry from the bedside attn I received from Dr. Wood. --------update: 07/2021 Found out that because I saw the -Nurse Practitioner- for ANOTHER Dr. I am now considered "Their Patient" and although Doctor Wood is now accepting patients again, I can't see him as that is against EMORY policy. I have to wait 3 years to fall off their patient list again and pray he doesn't retire.

Love Dr. Bruce Wood, takes time to get to know his patients, very caring and personable. Very practical and down to earth. Explains things and takes time to answer your questions. His nurse Sherry is an awesome nurse too!
