I am glad another visitor explained the pathway center for psychotherapy perfectly. They do bait and switch. Dr. Robert Roney and Dan Macke enjoy putting words in the mouths of patients. And changing the facts during group sessions. Dan Macke enjoys saying random vulgar comments during individual meetings. And staring down patients for 10 minutes at a time due to his back pain. I did not have insurance. Dr. Susan Bower charged my card twice in one week. They offered a few valid ideas taken from textbooks. Therefore I have been able to help family members afflicted with anxiety nightmares. In my opinion, this location has more poison than remedy.

My therapist was wonderful but whenever I call to book an appointment, they never call back. I've left a voicemail and email and never heard back. It's unfortunate that the actual service is overshadowed by unprofessionalism. Even the other reviews on here have mentioned similar situations.

Bait & switch?? I've really struggled to find a therapist for my son. We have already been to 2 previously who were not a good fit. Finally found several of Pathway's personnel listed directly on my insurance company's website. In advance of our appointment, I sent in their requested forms containing our detailed insurance information - had our PCM process a referral to my insurance company AND my insurance company sent them a referral approval letter - all prior to our appointment. Then we had our first session - my son was, for the first time ever, very happy and engaged and really enjoyed the experience. He's asked when we are going back twice now but when I reached out for another appointment I was told that they are not "currently accepting (my insurance) at this time" and that we may "continue services as self-pay only." Now I have to break my son's heart and tell him we can't go back and for no good reason at all. Then I have to start this hellish search all over again! This is a really horrible thing to do to people especially people who are struggling!! If you don't accept insurance, get off the insurance company's website and tell the patient before you see them - There really is no excuse for this!
