Powder Springs Library

The staff at Powder Springs is always ready to help. I have had a stroke and I am sensitive to sound. These folks are always able to accommodate with lowering their voices or by finding a silent corner for me. They really are wonderful folk and reliably lovely when you ask for help!

I went today for the first time and found the disabled parking to be very far from the front door as I am ambulatory disabled and do not have a motorized chair. The building was very tidy and beautifully decorated with information about upcoming classes and art sessions. Neither one of the ladies at the front desk said anything to me when I walked in or when I left. I went there to spend a couple of hours writing in the quiet but was subjected to a constant babble of dialogue from one librarian to the other about training a support dog and how she could get approved for disability based on the osteo-arthritis in her left hand and how her uncle had been murdered years ago and she read aloud the account of it from the computer on the Marietta Daily Journal page and how many children were in the family long ago and she remembered the youngest one the 2 yr old she later called uncle? blah blah blah. It was very hard to concentrate. I have one thing to say maam ssshhhhhhh. Thank you.

Always a pleasant experience to go. They have wonderful summer activities for children and always provide kind and thoughtful customer service. Local public libraries are a neighborhood gem.

Amazing staff! Smaller than normal libraries but we still loved it!
