Mauna Kea Dental, Luke M Tarver DDS & Alex J Spivak DMD

Honestly, Alex Spivak is the best dentist I have ever experienced, and I am 84. His team is outstanding, too. I could easily see their respect for him, and his respect for their support. He is a master craftsman, and his technique is outstanding. He ENJOYS his excellence, and he is caring and compassionate towards his patients, making me feel that I was a participant, not simply a recipient of his skills. Alex made sure that I fully understood the dental problems that needed repairs and explained his analysis and solution suggestions BEFORE we, together, made the decision to move forward with two large, old replacements, to be done on two separate dates. He 'talked me through' every minute and motion of the procedures, and I was NEVER even slightly uncomfortable. He called me each evening to make sure that I was healing with progress, as I certainly was. BEST dental experiences ever!!

Mauna Kea Dental staff are great. Everyone is professional and friendly. They are very informative and easy to talk to. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a dental office.

From booking my appointment to meeting with Dr Spivak, Mauna Kea Dental does it right! I'm going back in June for a check up and cleaning and am not nervous at all. I feel very fortunate that Alex Spivak is a dentist in Waimea. His office is very pleasant--even under construction---and I felt at ease. I also should mention that his office takes dental insurance.

Mauna Kea Dental is absolutely top notch! The staff and both Dr Tarver and Dr Spivak are the best dentists I have ever been to!! Wish I could give them all 10 stars because they have earned them.
