I was blown away by the customer service level here. Everybody was so nice and patient. Easily the best DMV in the United States.

Aloha! Waimea DMV Will not accept my POA from the U.S. Military for my mother to register the vehicles while Im away at my Duty Station.. They asked my mother for the original copies so they can make a copy themselves, which cant be done because I also have a copy, while S-1 has the originals. I have no authority to ask S-1 to give up the original copies for this Waimea DMV likings. They got to remember, theyre STATE & COUNTY. Theyre not GOVERNMENT! So they have no right to ask for the originals, so they have to take it as it is. Called them numerous time so I can speak to their manager and unsuccessful.. keeps ringing, till I got to 20 tries and than no one speaks, but can hear someone typing and a woman asking someone if theyre there to register their car and need papers for it. I know for a fact they was not talking to me, and left me hanging for 30 minutes.. finally gave up and know that theyre unprofessional and unable to perform at supposedly ALOHA standard

Always busy, staffing shortages prevented me from being able to take the written test twice!!
