Kamoa Store

In Kauai a couple weeks ago and husband decided he wants a ukulele. He had heard of the reputation/history of this store and I will say they did not disappoint. The gentleman who helped us was super informative, and went through all the various options/let us test different instruments to find the perfect fit. They shipped it home for us and we were so happy to unpack it last night. My husband plays bass and is ready to start working on uke right away. I play (well, learning to play) drums, but it looks so fun and is so portable/lightweight I may start fiddling around with it myself! We are happy to have such a beautiful instrument that we know will last for years. Highly recommend this shop! They also had a beautiful selection of Tahitian pearl jewelry and some other Hawaii-themed gifts - even if you're not looking for musical instruments the shop is worth poking into to take a look around.

Just purchased/received an 8-string koawood uke from Kamoa Store and I love it! Beautiful in sound and appearance! I was able to go in, try some different ukes out, and ultimately ended up ordering one and having it shipped to me on the mainland. Samuel was tremendously helpful throughout the whole process! So happy with this purchase experience. :)

I stopped in for ukulele lessons and was invited to come back for a 2nd lesson. The owner/instructor was soft spoken, knowledgeable, and adjusted his teaching to how I learned best. I've been to Kauai 5 times and these lessons were the best, non-sightseeing activity to date (with no pressure to purchase). If I had not already purchased an instrument, they surely have earned my business.
